Why My DiscoverEU Story?
Because one photo can capture more than a thousand words — and one story can inspire thousands of future travellers!
In the 2026 edition of the My DiscoverEU Story contest, under the motto “Capture the Moment, Show the Impact!”, we invite young people to share their real DiscoverEU experiences: emotions, challenges, discoveries, and practical travel tips that can truly help others.
This contest is not only about beautiful travel photos. Its goal is to create a youth-driven inspiration hub full of authentic stories, useful hacks, and honest reflections — especially valuable for future DiscoverEU participants, including young people with fewer opportunities.
Your submission should include:
(e.g. a selfie, a moment on a train, at a station, in a new city, on a trail)
One short written story
(100–150 words) describing:
your DiscoverEU experience
practical travel tips and travel hacks
challenges you faced and how you overcame them
inclusion-related aspects (barriers, accessibility, support)
what you learned during the journey
Your photo can show a moment of learning, fun, discovery, friendship, culture shock, or even a difficult situation that became your strongest memory.
