1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and processed on the website travelwithdiscover.eu (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).
The Website is part of the project “Travel. Learn. DiscoverEU” (Reference number: 2024-3-PL01-KA210-YOU-000291640), implemented within the Erasmus+ programme. The aim of the project is to promote and support the experience of travelling within the DiscoverEU programme among 18-year-old Europeans.
We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
2. DATA CONTROLLERS
The joint controllers of personal data processed through the Website are:
- LEVEL UP Association (Stowarzyszenie LEVEL UP), Poland
- SUMA – Association for Sustainable Development (Udruga za održivi razvoj), Croatia
Both organisations jointly determine the purposes and means of processing personal data related to this project.
3. CATEGORIES OF DATA COLLECTED AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
Voting in contests: When participating in voting on the Website, we collect the user’s IP address. This data is processed solely to ensure the integrity of the voting process and to prevent multiple votes from the same user.
Contact forms: If you contact us via the Website, we process the personal data you provide, such as your name and email address, in order to respond to your inquiry.
Vlogs and podcasts: The Website contains audiovisual materials (vlogs and podcasts) that may include the image or voice of participants. These materials are published only with the prior explicit consent of the individuals appearing in them.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
We process personal data based on the following legal grounds under Article 6 GDPR:
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Processing related to contact forms and the publication of vlogs, podcasts, or other media materials is based on the consent of the individuals concerned.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): IP addresses collected during contest voting are processed in order to ensure the fairness and integrity of the voting process.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Certain project-related data may be processed to comply with reporting, auditing, and documentation obligations arising from the Erasmus+ programme.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND COOKIES
The Website may use third-party services that process data independently of the controllers.
YouTube and Google Drive: The Website embeds video content, podcasts, and documents hosted on platforms operated by Google. These services may collect information such as IP address, device information, browser data, or interaction with the embedded content.
Hosting and server logs: The Website is hosted on a shared server. The hosting provider may automatically collect server log data, including IP addresses, for security and technical purposes.

6. DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Project documentation: Data related to the Erasmus+ project (including surveys, reports, and audiovisual materials) may be retained for the period required by the European Commission, generally up to 5 years after the final payment of the project.
Contest voting data: IP addresses collected for voting purposes are deleted once the voting process is completed and the final results are announced.
Contact data: Data submitted via contact forms is stored only for the time necessary to respond to the inquiry.

Personal data may be shared with:
- hosting providers responsible for maintaining the Website infrastructure
- service providers used to embed content (such as Google/YouTube)
- institutions responsible for monitoring Erasmus+ programme implementation
