I set off in July 2024 on a DiscoverEU interrail trip to explore Europe, traveling through cities such as Paris, Brussels, Aachen, Berlin, Vienna, and Prague, with a theme: inclusion. This photo shows me at the European Parliament in Brussels. This journey was full of adventures, discoveries, and moments of reflection to share our fears. For me, it was a time of growth, a chance to open up to others and to myself. Across Europe, I discovered the beauty and importance of diversity. I explored my limits, recognizing them only after overcoming them. I learned not to take things too seriously. I realized we need to ask for help, because there are obstacles bigger than us, that become stepping stones to grow stronger. We discover ourselves as fragile, yet unique. A quote by James Joyce on our backpacks read: “mistakes are the portals of discovery.” For me, it was that.
