This selfie was taken in Naples, right after saying goodbye to friends I met during an Erasmus+ project. Now alone and on a tight budget, I posted it on a traveler-networking site, starting what would become the best experience of my entire life.
DiscoverEU allowed me to experience six European cities, but what matters the most, it allowed me to meet people from all around Europe and make friendships that last to this day. A family, that I approached in Naples, that invited me to their home. My countrymen living in Rome for 30 years, who approached me emotionally moved when I sang on the street in his mother Polish tongue. Tino from Munich, who hosted me in ,,Isarathen” and many other, wonderful people, that I met, that helped me throughout my journey and taught me how we, as a society can change the world by personal acts of kindness.
