My DiscoverEU was an incredible experience… I started without expectations and came back with inspiring ideas and memories. I overcame the social barrier as a person who is shy when meeting new people. I was a group leader, which taught me to always treat people with respect and make no assumptions before meeting them. The girls in my group were amazing, but we came from different backgrounds. To really get along with each other, we needed to listen without judgement and get to know one another. I think it’s extremely important if people want to make real connections and friends. Eventually, we spent wonderful time together travelling, helped each other in need, and created memories and inside jokes that I remember to this day. I’d advise everyone not to be afraid of getting to know new people, you can be surprised how much you can learn about others and yourself.
